A system left to the whim of the individual is open to abuse, misuse, and devaluation.
-
Let's all stop playing misery poker.
-
This comic always made me cringe because I've met people like this
-
You've met these people? I've had to actually try and convince people they exist.
-
Of course I have. I'm an artist on tumblr in the egalitarian anti-sjw brigade. I'm never free from them.
But of course, it doesn't make me devalue those who are legitimate. :P -
Not by you. And you are awesome for that fact.
But how often do you see people getting mean and considering other people as lesser human beings for being straight and comfortable with themselves?
"stupid straight cisgendered male, you should all die!"
The amount of ignorant hate has been given birth by the special snowflake syndrome. -
I'm only awesome because I don't put down other people for being different. :P
Actually, that's surprisingly more uncommon. It's more common to find people identifying as "nan0girl" than being s---ty to cishet people. Harmless stupidity. Sure there are s---heads who are like that but it's not okay to go after people who aren't comfortable in their bodies either. -
This sounds like extremists, it makes me cringe too.
"If you're white your opinion on racism doesn't matter!"

OH WAIT WAIT WAIT WE'RE FORGETTING
"LMAO YOU CAN'T EAT TACOS BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT MEXICAN THAT'S CULTURAL APPROPRIATION" -
YUP ^

And I can understand people not being comfortable with their bodies. But those people usually either do things in moderation, or are at least self aware that people are going to have a hard time grasping what they want.
I have no issue with people who legitimately aren't comfortable with themselves. But it's the ones who claim to be something with the sole intention of hating anyone who's different or overplaying the part to be unique that bother me.
As I've been saying, leaving a social construct like this as something that can be defined and redefined and redefined by the people leaves it open to misuse, abuse and devaluation. -
@UL I've taken social justice as a class (dropped it because everyone i hated was in it and i had enough credits and didn't really want to do more coursework lmao) and the big thing to remember is, there's a difference between appropriation, and cultural exchange. food lies in the exchange portion and that's completely okay
It's only an issue when you're being a racist f---wad making fun of people who being a different culture
@Bob I literally just watched you s--- on trans people and people of non-binary gender. I get having an issue with people of the above since LITERALLY NONE OF US LIKING THEM
but being rude about it doesn't help your case. -
Yup yup
