How about simply asking someone how their day is? Seeing why they're pretty pissed off about something. This is why I love watching Sims interact because the top two interactions they use on their own are 'Ask About Day' and 'Get to Know'. There's something you could do.
And you know what I realized? It's not that someone doesn't know what to say, it's that they're so much of a coward that they're afraid they'll be lashed out on by the upset person. And before anyone gets defensive, actually think about all the times when someone was angry, and no one bothered to ask them how they were feeling (unless, of course, you're some 'celebrity' on here that everyone wants to kiss the ass of). But someone comes in claiming to be balling their eyes out, everyone else comes running to find out what's wrong.
I also hate 'I only did that once'. Load of bulls---. I obviously wouldn't be angry about it if it only happened once so don't even try to use that garbage of an excuse. I know what I remember, I'm not as stupid as some of you might think I am.
That's my mini rant. Better be off to swallow more anger, so I can be considered insane the next time I explode on someone.
