Consider the differences:
Ok lol
Ok lol.

Sure
Sure.

It's ok
It's ok.

As you can see, the second sentences appear more serious. Sometimes not using a dot may make what you say a bit more firendly/less serious. Actually many people do this, but I've seen Nazis here and there who criticize that. Maybe it's just my point of view, but sometimes not using a punctuation mark may convey the meaning/feeling better.

I never use a period at the end of sentences on here because it seems more serious and actually I don't use proper grammar at all because it would sound too sophisticated.. and people wouldn't like me O-O XD

While I see your point, the thread said "all the time" not ever. So mabye sometimes you do have to use it, however not always ;)

I just do whatever the f--- I want. :/ But in terms of spelling I guess I'm kind of a grammar Nazi XD
