So I was never allowed to read or watch anything involving wizards or dragons or...like anything fantasy. Apparently they were "against God." But now that I'm an atheist I don't give a s---. So I was thinking about reading the Harry Potter series and things like that.
In the science room, a copy of The Hobbit was just sitting there on the table by the staplers. (I use the staplers a lot) It was just sitting there for a week. So I had this thought "Hmm well I should just take this, read it secretly, and then put it back. That way the library won't have records of me having it and no one will find out." (My mom would take it if she saw me reading it) Then I realized that's just stupid and I'll probably get caught.
The night after, my uncle was watching The Hobbit. (He's not religious or anything so..yeah) So I thought about the book and I was like "Well if it's still there after the two-week break is up, then I'll read it."
It was still there. I didn't do anything about it for another week. Then tonight I was on Tumblr and I found out that two actors from my favorite show are in it.
So should I take the book? -
Yes.
Yes you should.
You should also read this book. -
Awesome :0

The Hobbit is somewhat short for a fantasy read and I personally loved it. Whilst it does seem lengthy in some places the story itself is very well written and it compliments the movies well.
My only question is does your mother know what's on your library record? If not, then why steal it? Check it out normally and read it in your spare time without resorting to petty theft. -
Yeah that's what I was thinking at first, but then it was still there after two weeks and....I don't know. But I planned on putting it back, not just taking it. It just seems...like it's there for a reason I guess. I don't know.
