Thread Topic: Top 10 BANNED Baby Names.
-
Good to know Cubicle, Squiggly, YouTube, Country Music, Oscar, People's Choice, and Joann aren't banned. Those are the names I'm giving my kids.
-
What the hell, Selena. xD
-
Devil in Japan is "Akuma" so it sounds pretty awesome so I can understand why parents would pick it
but the thing is, kids get bullied because of the name choice, hence the bans. xP -
I'm moving to Japan when I grow up.
I'll name my kid Akuma. -
To clear this up,
Apparrently, the parents of number 1 actually gave the baby a normal name, but when they had to give the information to the government (sorry i didn't know how to formulate this scentence very well in english), they gave that up. I can't exactly remember if it was just a joke, but i don't know how it can not be. -
Kirby_ NewbieI want kids. 3 boys and 1 girl. I'm gonna name them: Justin Time, Hugh Ass, Anita Bath and Noah Fence.
-
Apparently, I agree with all of you.
And Faith, name her Akuma and not Devil.
Those are clever names, Kirby. xD -

@kish that's very true.
-
Yup.
-
Faith and Brownies...I'm confused
"Devil" is banned in Japan...doesn't that mean Akuma (the japanese translation of Devil) is banned...? o.o -
No, I think that they mean the real word "Devil" in English instead of Akuma.
-
"the Japanese equivalent to "el Diablo" Akuma. The word translates best to "devil" in English, and the name is banned from being used. In 1993, a couple actually tried to name their kid Akuma, but after initially being tentatively accepted, it was later rejected. "
yeah, no I googled it and it turns out "Devil" is not banned, but "Akuma" is. According to them, it's child abuse to name the kid that. o.o
