Why do men have nipples?

This is my best response with out the Internet.
When eggs are in the mothers stomach the egg is neither boy or girl. When the sperm enters the egg then it becomes either one. -
Interesting question... Maybe its because we would look weird without nipples ahhahaha...
Ahem. ok on a serious note its because:
Biologically men and women
are a lot more similar than we think.
All mammals start out their embryonic
development as females. As the body
develops, the DNA determines what
hormones are produced in what
ratios and that determines whether or
not the generic gonads turn in to
testes or into ovaries.
So what we are saying here, and me being the male, is that at birth I actually had female characteristics but as I grew older, the hormones changed it to male. Which is why sometimes you find dudes who act like girls or have a girly voice, mainly due to a mistake on the hormone part, they didn't change the female characteristics.
So getting back to nipples, it's the
same thing. It's a left over sign of the
male's body starting off as a female.
And as a further note, men and
women have both testosterone and
estrogen. Body builders that use a lot
of supplemental testosterone have
their bodies produce more estrogen
to maintain the hormonal balance.
Once the testosterone stops, there is
now an abundance of estrogen and
so breasts will develop.
Under the right conditions, they can
lactate as well.
So we all have boobs capable of breast feeding :D Class dismissed -

SO basically makes are females in the womb up until a few months, so in Kish's explanation, they have female traits like nipples. Then it just stays with them.
