Conservative- Usually a member of the Republican Party. Tends to get mad about government overspending for things like foreign aid, public broadcasting, and social programs, but not the overinflated military budget, because they like the military. Claim they want the government out of people's personal lives, yet they are likely to oppose gay marraige, abortion, racial profiling, and warantless wiretapping. But owning a gun is a sacred right that should not be infringed upon. They believe the government should cut their taxes even if it means the roads they drive on could become complete safety hazards. Conservatives are often shady, dishonest people who will stab you in the back. They act as though they are good people, but deep down their souls are rotting from the inside out. They do not think with their heads, but rather with their hearts, their cold, dead, maggot-infested hearts.
Libertarian- Like a conservative, but more consistent in their ideology. Some of their positions may seem very un-conservative. They are opposed to the expensive War on Drugs, the expensive efforts to enforce immigration laws, and the incredibly expensive military I have already mentioned. A conservative says they hate government spending and coercion, but a libertarian actually means it. They also own enough guns to play the lead role in every Arnold Schwartzennager movie. So you should probably be nice to them.
Liberal: Usually a member of the Democratic Party. Usual concerns include equality for all Americans, the right to terminate a pregnancy, environmental conservation, and political correctness so intense that a town with five Jewish families must have a minora alongside the Nativity scene in town square. Liberals are usually fond of government intervention in the economy or the social safety net, even though Democrats in Congress are as much representative of the top 1% as Republicans and receive as much corporate money. Liberals are also guilty sometimes of believing the government is always a public good and never a soul-crushing, violently coercive beast, and that the government was right to kill of those people in Waco.
Socialist- While a liberal may sit on the fence on issues of economic inequality, a socialist makes those issues his entire zeitgeist. A socialist believes the government should look after your personal well-being until the very day you die. There are some inherent flaws to this ideology, namely that it is incredibly expensive for the government to maintain, and also because it overlooks the fact that many people will simply take the free money and free health care and just make a life of mooching off the system. -
xD I like Libertarians.

I actually got into an argument with libertarians today about gay marraige. There's a business in upstate New York that turned away a gay couple that wanted to get married there. Libertarians, or the ones I speak to, say it is a matter of property rights. The reality is that the action violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964. So even though I fall in with the libertarians a little bit, I think government coercion is sometimes neccessary to ensure people are discriminated against. I also think that some of the people I was talking to are basically homophobes. Not the "God Hates Fags" kind, but I know for a fact that several of them are hostile to the idea of same-sex marraige.

That's weird. Though I kind of agree with the property rights thing, it's lame that they were using it as an excuse to be homophobic. :|
