His tour bus drove right past my Mom's work. They all stood outside and waited for him. Then he pasted by and he waved at them. Wheng my mom told me, I didn't believe her. I was like, jawdrop!

I think if Obama waved at my mom she would give him the finger.

I personally like Obama actually, though he has made more than a few decisions that I don't agree with, particularly those relating to national security and foreign policy. But his handling of the economy has been solid, though a little overly cautious, and for the first time in our country's history every citizen is gauranteed access to health care, and the EPA is actually using it's power to curb climate change, though admittedly the results have not been felt this summer. Obama also pretty much saved the American auto industry, which is a huge part of our economy. Overall he has been a decent president. It is easy to lose perspective when there is so much negativity coming from his political opponents, but Bill Clinton had to put up with the same s---. At one point Republicans in Congress tried to implicate Clinton in a murder case in Arkansas. But when all was said and done, Clinton was widely respected and veiwed as an effective leader. That said, Clinton left with a booming economy and a large budget surplus. It's hard to believe at the moment that our economy will be booming again in four years whether Obama gets a second term or not, and a budget surplus is highly unlikely. But the point is that Obama is not the first person to be dragged through the mud and fight an uphill battle with Republicans, and we may actually look back on his presidency a little more fondly than we look at it now.
