My brother got a girl knocked up, well, she thought it would save the relationship if she got pregnant with his kid. It didn't, he didn't care, it might be his kid, but he wouldn't want the child to grow up with a father who hated its mother kind of thing. He was actually going to take her to court once she had the kid because she was a psychopath.
Anyways, she had a heart condition and blood problems. I don't know the details about it because I never liked her, nor did I care. None the less, her doctors pretty much told her, you need to have an abortion or your going to die giving birth.
She went along and had the kid anyways. Actually, she carried it to 7 months. Even once she hit 3 months she started having complications. And guess what? Low and behold, not only did she risk the child's life when she started having problems at 3 months, but she also died giving birth.
My niece was in the hospital for almost an entire year with health complications and it tore my brother up to see his child suffer that much.
My niece is fine now, goes in every month for a check up, but is otherwise fine. Most of the doctors who worked with her thought she would die, the chances of her surviving were slim. We were told that most children born with her problems (Lungs weren't fully developed, heart problems like her mother, etc., etc.) didn't usually survive.
Now, if she would've had an abortion, not only would she still be here, but my niece wouldn't have been in such physical pain, nor my brother the emotional.
I support abortion. A woman shouldn't have to go through all that if shes not going to keep the child in the first place. All those who say that abortion is wrong no matter what can crawl in a ditch and die right now. There are numerous times when giving birth is physically impossible for the woman. If a woman is raped, you say give it up for adoption? Why should a woman have to distort her body for something she doesn't want, and if it comes down to her medical problems, why should she sacrifice her life (even when there's a high percentage the child wont even make it) for something she wont even want?
And if the child is deformed, and there is no hope of it surviving past its toddler years? Yes, there have been some instances where miracles happen and they make it to teenage years, but guess what. They still don't live a full life. Not to mention the pain of most deformities. What kind of monster would want a person, let alone a baby to go through that kind of hell, when it could have been avoided?
Not only that, but how can you kill something that cant feel, cant breath, nor even think, let alone show any signs at all of something living other than the fact that it grows? Can someone answer me that?
Its about the same as killing a rock. Harsh example, but you get my point.
Has anyone heard of a miscarriage? That's the body's way of giving a natural abortion. Who thinks that's wrong? No one? So we wont kill women for having a miscarriage like in the medieval ages? No? Why? Because its natural?
...
