tongue AdvancedHere are a few reasons why I'm not buck-naked doing back flips on my roof:
1. I'm not gay, so this means nothing for me, and it means nothing to a majority of New Yorkers.
2. Marraige is overrated. I don't carre so much about inequality by law as much as I care about inequality in fact. Call me when gay kids aren't harrassed anymore and don't commit suicide at a rate twice the national average, or when bigoted right-wing Christians die off.
3. The law is inevitably going to be overturned. Every state that has legalized gay marraige saw the law overturned in court or by voters. Gay marraige was rejected by the state legislature six times before this bill passed, so there will be an awful lot of opposition.
Just my thoughts. -
OMFG! TONGUE MADE A TYPO! *Cough*apocolypse*cough*
But, finally. Some one (Or state) Actually stands up for Gays. -
I respect your opinion but, be happy that someone else gets a chance to be happy, at the very least. It doesn't have to do something for you personally to be a good thing... That's what makes humans selfish, we only want change if it helps US personally.

I am honestly, sometimes a little confused when I think about same sex marraige.

but good for NY! At least we have confidence.

tongue AdvancedMy dad actually told me this law will probably hold up because the law was passed through the legislature instead of by a ballot iniative. But still, let's see what happens. And either way, like I said, it's just marraige. I'm reserving my celebration for deaths of the members of the Westboro Baptist Church.
