Mintvoyager AdvancedWar was made by men, for men. If it were up to the majority of people, men and woman alike, who were not in power, war would be heavily dissuaded.
I find it a rather curious notion that we would try to divide the sexes in a way that promotes the international war machine instead of criticizing it all tougher. A lot of feminist critiques are explicitly of patriarchy NOT because "men bad," but because a system designed to designate the most sociopathic and manipulative people on top is a terrible system. Our current system self selects for individuals who are willing to lie, cheat, manipulate, and use brute force to get what they want.
It's not that all cops are bad, it's that we live in a world where we let the worst cops rise in the ranks and protect power with power.
War shouldn't be a thing. It's 2024. We have such advanced technology and the minds to solve many of the world's problems, but because we continue to allow the greediest and most sociopathic people to have the most regional influence we can't fix anything.
Oh also, "why don't women join the military" because we weren't brainwashed at a young age with the same propaganda as men. Men are given toy soldiers, fed war media, and told that obedience = honor.
The American military is already having an incredibly hard time keeping male enlistees as it is. They spend billions of dollars to entice men to join and they don't put nearly as much into propagandizing women to join, probably in part because of internalized sexism
As a feminist, I'm not pro man and women being in war, I'm pro neither being sent off to needlessly die. I'm not going to advocate for anyone to join. Men join of their own volition and then get mad that women aren't falling for the same ruse as them. -
