that's all 💁
-
I had something typed I was gonna post somewhere, but I'm gonna piggyback off of your thread if that's alright
I was kind of iffy about ACAB at first too, because yeah, surely there are SOME cops who aren't pigs that abuse their position of power to take advantage of others. However, there are only two kinds of cops:
1. Those who take advantage of the system and use their position of power to oppress POC
2. Those that may not take advantage of others like that, but are complicit and a part of system that allows others to do so.
There cannot be any "good cops," because every single one is a part of a system that allows others to take advantage of others. Therefore, all cops are b------s -
flawless, beautiful, you're doing great
no but for real thank you for your contribution to this thread
I'm at work and honestly don't have the patience anymore to try fruitlesslty to educate someone that values getting the last word in more than learning and improving themself so I do appreciate you taking the time to explain that for the people that will benefit from reading it -
Ok, so, you're saying that cops are awful people because they have the option to be horrible?
What the f---? -
bruh stop posting in my threads
I didn't post in yours and I'm done trying to help you get better
go assert your stupidity in your own thread -
Nice try, road. I make a post where i talk s--- about ACAB, then about an hour later, you make a thread about ACAB. You can claim it's a coincidence, but it's not.
-
Also, I simply asked a question to make sure I was properly understanding bread.
-
bruh
literally never did I say this wasn't a direct response to your dumb--- take
it definitely is
but I didn't post in your thread, didn't say anything about you, and don't want you in my threads. You're exhausting. Leave my s--- alone. Go spit your rhetoric in a different thread. -
I'm sorry for misinterpreting your post.
But in my defense, I specified in that thread to start an argument, and if you wanted to, to make a seperate thread.
If this is in response to my thread, why are you seemingly against having an argument here? -
if you post in my thread again I'm going to request deletion. I've told you several times you're not welcome in my threads.
-
I do criminology at college and after college I'll be having to go through police academy and if you took even a second to understand how many prejudices and issues are within the justice system, or the very way it's built up and structured, you'd understand the rhetoric behind ACAB. Like yes slay!! ACAB .

So from what I've heard from actually good cops is that it's a losing battle. The way social structures work is that those who are willing to step over others tend to get ahead and the police force is no different.
People who are good natured tend to lose to people who are manipulative because they aren't willing to do morally ambiguous things to get ahead. That's why politicians tend to be corrupt too. -
i agree with the two points above. the issue isn't "bad apples" as people frequently claim, it's that the system in place is one that naturally perpetuates injustice. we could have nothing but good people trying to make their communities better, but we would still end up with bigoted outcomes because of the playbook that our police system follows.
when you consider other contributing factors like officers being expected to meet ticket and arrest quotas, it's no wonder the system continues in the way that it does. the odds are intentionally stacked against us. -
^^^ THAT'S MY BEST FRIEND!!
