Responsible and regulated hunting is actually a good thing. Without hunters to curb the population, deer over reproduce and cause havoc on the ecosystem. There is a designated hunting season for a reason, and licenses required in most places. Hunting is done for sport but most hunters do utilize the meat. Imo it is more ethical than buying beef at a grocery store. And again - important to the environment.
Anyways, rav said he didn't want argument in this thread so I'll leave it there. I understand having a bleeding heart but perhaps your energy would do more good directed towards the mistreatment of commercial livestock. -
^ Instead of changing hunting laws, I'd try to pass legislation to further animal rights. Animals/pets are considered property under current laws.

^^I'd also just like to pop in and mention that some species are invasive so controlling the population is necessary for the health of the ecosystem as a whole! Rabbits especially can be a big problem because they breed like crazy and if there aren't things like predators to keep them in check, things can get really out of hand.

You're right ravager, people shouldn't be allowed to do what they want to with their own bodies legally.
They also shouldn't be allowed to have medical benefits and safe working environments afforded by legal protection because then we'd be encouraging gross intercourse between two consenting adults. /s -
Yes that may be true but what's the point in having a government if we don't get to use it to restrict the rights of women and other minorities?
