Cats or dogs y'all, state your reasons I need to know
-
Also is a hot dog a sandwich
-
Dogs, they are much more affectionate, and when you come home, they let you know they missed you.
A hot dog is a sandwich. The definition of a sandwich is 'meat or filling between 2 pieces of bread,' and a hot dog fits that definition. Some argue that it doesn't have two slices and instead a bun, but if you think about it, subways don't either, instead having a piece of bread with a slit in it. Hot dogs are pretty much subways but shorter. -
Dogs are a lot more fun to play with.
Cats can more often have bad personalities and are far more boring.
Give me a dog any day!! -
Dogs
Cats hate me
Also a hotdog is essentially a sausage sandwich but they didn't slice the sausage.
The baffling thing though is that a wrap is also considered a sandwich.
I think if I wrap is considered a sandwich, a hotdog should rightly be called one as well. -
But-
Cats are so cute 😠-
A hotdog is not a sandwich, for a couple of reasons. According to the Oxford dictionary, a hotdog is described as
a frankfurter, especially one served hot in a long, soft roll and topped with various condiments
And for reference, a frankfurter:
a seasoned smoked sausage made of beef and pork
By definition, a hotdog is distinctly different than a sandwich. They are both meat (and fillings) between a type or bread, but that's the only similarity.
Hotdogs are their own type of food. They require a specific kind of meat, between a specific kind of bread. They are also eaten differently than sandwiches typically are.
Hotdogs are their own category of food. Types of foods can be similar without being the same. For example, a pepperoni calzone has meat, cheese, and other filling, inside of some bread. Does that make it a sandwich? No, of course not. Is it a hotdog? Obviously not. They can have similar characteristics without being the same -
Cats. They're a lot easier to maintain, more independent. I'm very low energy, so I like that my cat isn't always trying to coax me into playing and going outside and being a person, you know? They can be just as loving as dogs, too. The only way dogs are superior is in their ability to defend the house.

Dog people: cats are the devil. A cat murdered my grandma in cold blood and drained our savings account
Cat people: dogs are really cute too I just prefer cats because they match my personality and energy levels more uwu -
I've heard an argument made that dog people tend to dislike cats because of the way they receive love. Your dog listens to you and relies on you so it makes you feel immediately wanted. Dogs tend to be obedient and have a loud and expressive temperament.
The problem occurs when dog people compare dogs to cats. Cats are far more independent and relaxed and you have to earn their affection. When you look at cats through a dog lense you'll think "that cat is an a--hole." When the truth is they are very kind and unique creatures, you're just wrongly comparing them to the nature of a dog.
I personally believe there's no such thing as bad animals, just bad owners. Even the most difficult or unintelligent animals can be wonderful pets with a good owner.
That being said I'm a cat person lmao. I love dogs to pieces, cats just fit my vibe more. -
I have both, but I lean to liking cats more, while my significant other likes our dogs more.

I personally prefer cats as they are not only less maintenance but I have one and he is the best thing since sliced bread
And a hotdog is never going to be a sandwich to me no matter the logistics
