Taiwan, The littoral real china or whats left of it. Imperial Japan is why this mainland China exists in the first place.
Hong Kong, Its not a separatist state of china
it is entitled to its own government. part of a deal made with the UK
The two sides made an agreement that would see Hong Kong return to China in 1997 under the idea of "one country, two systems".
This basically meant that while Hong Kong would become one country with China, it would enjoy "a high degree of autonomy" for 50 years - which means Hong Kong could have its own laws and rules during this time.
Hong Kong now has its own legal system and borders, and free speech and freedom of the press are protected.
In recent years, China have tried to introduce laws that would give them more control over what people can do in the area.
Many people in Hong Kong see this as China interfering with how they live and the greater freedoms they have compared to people in mainland China.
This has led to the recent wave of protests against Chinese involvement in Hong Kong.

They have already been invading Hong Kong Nobody bats an eye because Its assumed they are just a rebel state.
And someone tell me why is it that the only time Taiwan gets any public support against china's Senseless foreign agenda is when japan sticking up for them.
And I think we all know according to history.
Japan Is serious and the US is allies with them

My mom is from Taiwan, so Ive been aware of the matter for a while. We havent been able to visit or see our many relatives there.
I dont really know what to say because its so disgusting what China and Russia are both willing to do. -
It's upsetting too because a lot of American conglomerates are actively siding with china for financial reasons. Like may I remind you that Twitter censored hong kong and taiwanese athletes and that Google partnered with china to help them make their social credit technology. Google even went to court over that but since a lot of judge and jury aren't tech literate they got off the hook for it.
It's really disturbing to see so many major tech companies openly side with china and is probably why Taiwan and Hong Kong don't get as much coverage as they should.
