I'm in therapy because of verbal abuse from my peers. Words hurt it's greatthat you can ignore it but not everyone can. -

The thing I have a problem with is whenever people try and use the fact that they were called a slur has an excuse to commit violence and then after that a lot of people tend to look the other way.
Personally, I believe that a verbal insult should not result in a valid reason for violence -
Now that's correct. I used to be violent with my peers for making fun of me and my family. I regret that. Assault is not justified.
It's an explanation though, but isn't self defence.
Now that's correct, what you should have said was
" slurs shouldn't be a reason for violence" which is what you meant right? However it reads like this
" I hate that I can't call you a slur without being labelled an ass" which isn't what you were saying. -
Well, sometimes I have ways of trying to get a point across that are different from the typical way people would normally see the way I planned on seeing about it was in a quite different way, but then I realized not everybody on this site is ready to have that opened up in that way

The first post reads as if you're denying racism, or even trying to make out that white people have it worse which you said you did not mean

i did reread this, and i did indeed miss big points that you were trying to put out.
although im still pissed- it’s not at what you said, it’s how you worded it. but I do agree with you at certain spots, some things you said were waaaay out of line and completely racist. Don’t @ me, because I’m just putting my opinion out there. Just let me type this and then move on, bc I’m done with this thread.

although i understand that you aren’t. and even though you might not get offended by things, this is still a very sensitive topic that you took too far, and the way that things were said literally make my stomach hurt- because it is hurtful and you’re way too insensitive.
to dim this post down, idk what black people you met, but we aren’t trying to get to the top. we’re just trying to survive- because all humans are at the top of the food chain, because we’re all the same.
I do agree with what you said, just as much as I disagree with other things you said. But you could have worded it much better and not get so rude every time someone got offended.
dawson, you were one of my first friends here and one of the only people who didn’t s--- on me bc of my immature personality, so ill always have a soft spot for you- but i don’t understand when or how you got like this lol

The only thing im going to say on this is that nothing said here was racist, offensive? Sure, but not racist. I'm not trying to say anyone here is right or wrong but there are definitely some misconceptions on both sides. Racism at its core is believing your race is superior then another simply because of skin color.
So basically, Dawson shut up you knew this would happen, quit actin like you didn't
