Thread Topic: Hypersensitivity in Society?

I noticed I got some weird looks when I referred to someone as "black" even though the said person was black. Wasn't even using it in an offensive way. Why is this?? I'm Hispanic and its really not uncommon to call darker people "negroes" and its cute to call our children little "negritos" and its really cute. Why is it such a big deal here in the US?

That's not necessarily hypersensitivity. It could be immaturity, covert narcissism or just overall defensiveness. HSPs are actually kinda mature (as they get older)

Vladimir Putin NewbieI've noticed that America is a very sensitive society. If something is not said in hate, why do some people become defensive? Perhaps if it bothers them to high degree, they can politely correct someone?
