Communism
Communism is basically a dictatorship. Some communist countries include China and Russia. In communism, the government owns everything and controls everything in an attempt to make everything fair and equal. Of course, equality through dictatorship never works. Someone will always be higher or lower than someone else in some way, no matter how much freedom the government takes away. One perfect example of communism would be school uniforms. School uniforms are an attempt to make it unseen that some students have more money or reasources than others. So, school districts make it mandatory for all students to wear the same pants and shirts. Still, ranking can still be observed by looking at hair, shoes, jewelry, makeup, socks, and other accesories. Nothing in life will ever be completely fair, and removing freedom from the public will not help to solve anything.
Definition of communism according to Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary:
communism 1 a: a theory advocating elimination of private property b: a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed 2 a: a doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism that is the official ideology of Russia b: a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state- owned means of production with the professed aim of establishing a state-less society c: a final stage of society in Marxist theory in which the state has withered away and economic goods are distributed equitably
Given the definitions and proof I have been provided, I have decided that I strongly disapprove to idea of communism and beleive that communism will not help to solve anything. Though I hope our country does not choose to go along the path of communism, it has already been made clear that America is slowly turning in that direction, and there is truly nothing we can do to stop it. -
Puppyz.
STOP SAYING STUPID s---.
I can disprove your "theory" In one statement.
COMMUNISM = NO GOVERNMENT.
DICTATORSHIP = A FORM OF GOVERNMENT.
You have been proved as a stupid f---ing idiot and a disgrace to every Social Studies teacher ever. -
You don't know the first thing about communism.
Here. Talk to some communists.
There is such a thing as the "dictatorship of the proletariat," which is less "enslaving the people" and more "defending the newly-created socialism against capitalist backlash."
The 1986 Programme of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union says:
"Communism signifies the transformation of the system of socialist self-government by the people, of socialist democracy into the highest form of organisation of society - communist public self-government. With the maturation of the necessary socio-economic and ideologial preconditions and the involvement of all citizens in administration, the socialist state - given appropriate internatioal conditions - will, as Lenin noted, increasingly become a transitional form "from a state to a non-state." The activities of state bodies will become non-political in nature, and the need for the state as a special political institution will gradually disappear." (The Soviet Union did not consider itself as having reached communism yet.)
And if after all this, you still think communism means dictatorship...

I wonder if you even read these, Leah. -_-

-Being an Anarcho-Communist.
-BEING AN ANARCHO-COMMUNIST!
-Unironically.
-Avoiding the subject
Jesus christ. Where did we all go so wrong?
There's only been one real example of anarchist communism, and that was Spain during the revolution, which was absolutely steam-rolled by every capitalist state on Earth.
Further, it doesn't matter whether you call it enslavement or 'defending the people,' it doesn't change the fact that you're being controlled by a dictator who has free control over the economy, the military and the workforce. Furthermore, it also doesn't matter if he promises to hand control over to the public 'when it's safe' if he can't trust them enough to hand it to them when they embraced communism. -
> Thinking anarcho-communism is contradicting
> Believing communism to be totalitarian
> Devoted to blind capitalist doctrine no matter what
Can you give some sources for your understanding of communism (Reliable or not, I'd like to know what they are) or are you just adhering to the same old paper-thin ideas that are known as "common knowledge" of communism? -
Oh yeah:
"Communism is basically a dictatorship. Some communist countries include China and Russia. In communism, the government owns everything and controls everything in an attempt to make everything fair and equal. Of course, equality through dictatorship never works."
Wow I could have walked into any high school history class across the country and would have been hit with the wall of bulls--- that was that. -
> Russia
> Soviet Union disintegrated in 1991
> Even then socialism died in the USSR when Khrushchev came into power -
"Though I hope our country does not choose to go along the path of communism, it has already been made clear that America is slowly turning in that direction, and there is truly nothing we can do to stop it."
Whoa, I didn't even see that LOL. Ya, first Obama is an Islamic Fundamentalist, then he's a dirty Jew Bolshevik. -
I suppose I'm not really trying to seriously debate these flawed ideas, just s---ting all over them out of sheer boredom.

I never implied Anarchist communism was contradicting, merely that it combines the worst of Anarchy and the worst of Communism into what is quite possibly the single worst economic system to exist. It fails in literally every respect, from economic growth to quality of living to division of labour. (Of course, this doesn't mean much when it's only been notably tried twice, but still.) Even if you tried to think of a worse economic system, Anarchist Communism would still top the charts.
It barely works on paper and I have doubts it would work in reality. Even successful communist countries, such as Cuba, still require a functioning government to maintain their economy.
That isn't to say that Communism or Anarchy is bad which isn't what I'm saying, at least not at the moment, but adding the two together is like mixing fire with kerosene.
