Politics is sometimes useless to me. But sometimes I think that It's not that useless. In fact, It's useful to manage our country's administration. It's really hard to imagine how our country or state would be without politics. When I switch the news channels, I get to see the Bollywood news, Social news, Administrative news. .... wait! I also get to see the 'Political news. That means politics is an important part of our society. Right?
I'm nowadays studying political science. Like I'm studying the electoral process in India. I mean the process of voting in India. It's the 'Secret ballot system'.
Guys, I would like to know the voting process of your country. -
Electoral college, it's complicated. 535 people pick the president, but we vote to tell them who to pick. It's weird, I know. Our founding fathers didn't want direct democracy, that's the reason I guess. It gets messy sometimes obviously, just look up the election of 2000 between George Bush and Al Gore, the election basically had to be settled in court.

Oh thanks! Don't you like direct democracy? It's not that messy, I think?
-
Wouldn't know really. Our system is certainly a mess though. Too much money corrupting system, not enough competitive elections.

Oh! I see. It's really difficult for me to understand the electoral process of your country. Do you know where was the process of direct democracy was started? in Greece? i think?
