I'd say nay. I might be inclined to go with Geek's argument of "better than testing on humans", but we can learn more scientifically testing with humans actually. Trust me, I'm a social sciences major. Look up the Milgram experiment sometime. It is highly controversial and basically led to new regulations within the discipline, but it sheds a lot of light on human nature and obedience and is without a doubt one of the most influential experiments in the history of psychology. So there really is no need to test on animals. On top of that, this argument that humans deserve more ethical consideration than animals is not morally sound. All living beings can feel pain, the fact that we are "more evolved" means nothing because the same argument was used to justify racism once upon a time.
