Racism is bad, m'kay.
-
My overall serious opinion is this: racism is a two-way street. Whites spew their fair share of hatred, but so does everyone else. The Republican Party is full of people who are total racists, and they use racism to gain support, but Democrats do as well with their insistence of political correctness and multiculturalism. And then there's the legal system. Yeah, George Zimmerman got off for killing a black kid that his defense made out to be a thug, but in the OJ Simpson trial, his defense used the "persecuted successful black man" argument and won. Honestly, we're all just mad at each other because we're fighting over the scraps the system leaves for us. We think that our enemy is white or black or brown, but our real enemy is an oppressive government and dishonest media that serve the elite and corporate interests.

I think it is directly linked to class struggle. -
I think that everyone should be treated equally no matter what color you are.
-
African Americans wanted equality in the first place. But equality does not exist. African Americans are treated specially than whites, okay? You can argue but if you think about it, it's sooo true. For starters, when white people get bullied its 'bullying' and it's not a big deal; it sucks, yeah, but it happens every day. But when African Americans get bullied, it's called 'racism' and OMG it's sooo cruel and it's such a huge deal. And why can't we call them black? They call us white! They're both colors. Hell, call us purple for heaven's sake! Why is black considered mean and white isn't?

I can't tell if that sounded ignorant or not.
-
WTF. First of all, bullying is bullying no matter what race you are. Racism is believing another race is superior. There's people in every ethnically group who thinks they're better than another. What you're doing is making it sound like white people are better and that's not how it is. Racism isn't always involved in bullying. I can hate Ting (just an example granny, I luv u) who is Asian, but I dont necessarily hate her because she's Asian. That was also an example that people of the same race can be bullied by one another and since you didn't specify what ethnically groups the bullies and bullied were part of in your example, you were not clear.
-
People have their beliefs okay? If they think they are better than another race, they're going to have to live with that s---.
I don't think I am better than another race. We are all equal.
Regardless of WHAT people are being bullied ABOUT, it should just be called bullying. I don't care if they're bullying them because of their hair, clothes, skin color, shoes, life, or whatever else. It's bullying. For ALL of us. ALL races. THAT would bring equality.
What was I unclear about? I can specify if needed. -
Ignorant? Because I'm making a point that's different than all of yours, I'm the ignorant one?
-
You're living in a black and white world. Literally. The way you see things it can only be one definite way or the opposite. There are no inbetweens or grey areas in your mind. You're forcing what you believe and think on other people and to be frank, you're making it sound like white people live the hardest lives of anyone in the world and trying to make others pity them.
-
That's not at all what I'm saying. Everyone lives a hard life, in one form or another, regardless of race. I never said anything like that.
-
I just don't understand why people even worry about both bullying and racism.
Face the f---ing facts, people:
- People are mean. So so mean.
- People are always going to have mean opinions
- People are forever going to express those opinions
- Those people have to live with that s---.
Why do we even get involved? It's not like we're going to stop people from being mean. Impossible. -
You can teach kids not to be asses.
-
True, you can try. But "Racism is bad!!!" is not going to persuade them in any way.
