The lavenders will always stay
purple as ripe plums that will never lead astray
and as the bitter, cold
winter season becomes sold
away to the arrival of spring
where the birds all sing
and flowers bloom
and where the bees all buzz in tune
and that is where I will meet my doom.
It's a poem about death in spring, technically. -
