And as I stated, people like Jeffery Dahmer, Jack the Ripper, John Wayne Gacy, and Ted Bundy are more memorable. -

People are too busy to care, most look for weather not news that happens everyday and one person is actually caught while many still roam free. They may know him in your town, but not in many other places.
