I look behind me, where I could have sworn I saw a rock fly through the air, then huff and start to walk to the building across the street.

The wind is whistling so loud in my ears that it hurts, and I cover my ears with my hands and grit my teeth.

The wind finally stops, but it still rings in my ears because spending so much time as a wolf with strong hearing seems to have made everthing louder. The pain in my ears dosn't go away, and I'm standing in the middle of the road.
