Valentine lunged at him, wondering vaguely why she had waited for him to have a free hand, and snapped viciously at his neck, his face. Anything she could hurt, she wanted to. The boy made her sick..
-
"Shut up, you stupid shit head!" she roared, her voice furious. She continued biting at him ferociously, no intention of letting him leave this without various marks to remember her by. Why was it so hard to get him? How many people just like him had she killed before?
He's just another target! That's all! He' a tar-
She paused suddenly, eyes goign wide and blank.
Damn it..
She fell back and sat down next to the payphone, fixing her now emotionless eyes on the concrete in front of her. -
In that second, he pinned her down. In the following seconds, police sirens echoed down the street. He smirked.
-
Valentine fixed blank eyes on his face, nothing but a blur to her now. She was aware of police sirens in the background, but they seemed so distant to her. It didn't matter. Nothing mattered but the kill. And a good predator knew how to hunt.
-
The red and blue lights flashed into view. He squinted his eyes, partially blinded.
-
Valentine saw a good opportunity to take out his adam's apple right then, while he was hard of sight, but she ignored it. Not a certain chance. Not good enough. Her head rested on the concrete still, her eyes closing as she relaxed her muscles so much she would have thought she'd fallen asleep and drifted into a dream if she couldn't still feel the boy holding her down.
-
He officers arrived, and he climbed off her. One of the others picked her up and put her in the back seat of one of the police cars. He sat with her in the back seat, nervously. Damn lock... how could I lose the handcuff keys?
-
Valentine hardly felt herself being lifted and placed in a police car, but she was hyper aware of the boy sitting next to her- excessively vulnerable. She glanced over with pale eyes at him, found his vulnerability the closest thing to an invitation she would get.
-
He maintained his best poker face. Never let the teenage assassin sitting next to you see that you're scared shitless of her.
-
Valentine continued to stare at him, eyes cold and calculating. How long until they reached the police station? She'd taken care to find where it was when she had first come here- so she could avoid it, of course- but she had no idea where she had been when they had come. However long it was... she was certain it was enough. The time she had spent screaming like a moron had been too long wasted when she could have been finding effective ways to kill him.
Now, the most practical way came to mind, and she gave the handcuffs that attached the two of the together an experimental tug. -
His arm jerked slightly as she pulled the handcuffs. He glared at her.
-
Valentine didn't bother to look at him. She had found what she needed. Without any warning, she pulled the handcuffs as close to her as she could manage.
-
He fell over, his head practically landing in her lap. "What?" He glared at her.
-
Without a word, she pulled the handcuffs that had been attached only to her wrists around his throat, pulling them tightly.
-
His eyes widened. The officer in the passenger seat spotted them from the corner of his eye and tried to help Connor.
