FREAKING POLO
He headed down the street in the direction she'd gone. -
Sissi, you here? 3:
-
:O Just in time for her to answer~ xD
Valentine waited impatiently for the bus to arrive. She had no idea what progress they would have made by then, but she didn't want to be arond when they made enough. It was taking so long, she was considering just running off to the next city on foot. -
Sorry, I died. There's a unicorn kitten on my head.
He kept an eye out for her the whole time, never seeing her. It'd be useless to ask if anyone had seen her- she was probably doing a good job hiding herself from the public. -
:O Lucky...
Finally, the bus rolled up. She sighed, relieved, and boarded, pulling a ten dollar bill from her pocket, and dropping it into the little bucket for change. The driver looked surprised, but didn't protest. She took a seat at the very back, huddling up against the window. -
*gives*
Connor sighed. He wasn't going to find her. Not tonight, anyway. Maybe if he went after her... -
Gives?
Valentine sat on the bus for a very long time, waiting for it to leave the city. It had a long route to go before it would actually leave, tracing paths through the city. After a while, she got bored, and got off at some odd point in the city she hadn't been in before. She got off, sighing discontentedly. Weren't assassins supposed to have patience? How was she so good at it when she had no patience whatsoever?
She wandered off down the sidewalk, no real path set in her mind. -
*gives kitteh*
He walked home, contemplating what he'd do. First he'd get his backpack, and fill it with whatever he'd need. Then he'd buy a bus ticket and head out. He had a small guess where she might go, but he wasn't sure. -
Ohmagod thank you! :O
Valentine continued meandering through this dark part of the city, the sun having already set. Dim streetlights lit the road, and the faces of people, out too late to be any sort of good news. Drunkards, dealers, altogether bad people. She grimaced at the sexual comments several of them made as she passed, and wanted very badly to have her gun on her at that moment... Something to scare them with, and carve those horrible grins from their faces.
"Stupid people." she muttered, not even paying attention to where she was walking anymore. -
Can I sexually harass Valentine, too? :D Or Sulfy?
He reached home and went into his room, packing up quickly. Nobody was home, so entering his father's room and taking a few hundred dollars from his safe was easy. Stealing to stop a criminal. He smirked faintly. -
I don't think either of them would enjoy that...
Valentine stopped dead as a rather ugly looking guy stumbled in front of her to block her path, tripping over his own feet. Completely wasted.
He started to open his mouth, but she wasn't in the mood to listen to it. He fell very loudly against the force of her fist connecting with his jaw, and suddenly, the entire street was silent.
"Damn it. Overkill again." she muttered, not looking at any of them, and just standing there, starign at the unconscious guy. -
Once he had the money, he walked through the living room, toward the door. He stopped, seeing his dog. German Shepherds were good at tracking, right? He knelt down next to the canine. "Hey boy, wanna help me catch a criminal?"
-
After what felt like an eternity of simply staring at the guy, Valentine decided he wasn't going to get up. She nudged his side quietly with her foot before this was concluded, stepped over him, and kept going..... somewhere...?
She finally exitted the darker district, happy to see comfortable little homes surrounding her now, instead.
