Ana stared at her for a long moment. "It's okay.. they taste nice usually.." she said, and bit her tongue harder at the thought of blood. She winced at that pain, and looked over at Aka.
"I'm starving." she whispered in a voice too quiet for their human guest to hear. It would be unfriendly to frighten her. -
Aka wasn't too thrilled about the diet they were given. One of the reasons she meditated so often was to preserve energy. But if she had to she would.
"Well...we just got this new friend.."She whispered back, sighing. -
Ana's words sent Rachael's mind spiraling back to reality. These weren't true friends. She was here as their meal, a supplement to their diet. Just the thought of this caused her heartbeat to double in speed.

Ana heard the heavy thumping of Rachael's heart, and felt pain for her fear. "Don't be afraid.." she said, but that was a stupid thing to say. She stood up, walked toward the girl. She stared at her, her eyes sad.
"Aka.." she murmured, and turned again. "Do you think we could eat nice food if the Invisible Ones let us out? Just once? Food is no good... when it reeks of fear." she said, her voice shaky. -
"I suppose. But they wouldn't let us out."She shook her head, sighing.

Rachael gulped. "I know where the door is. The people who run this place are long gone. You could probably bust out of here."

Ana shook her head. "No.. the Voice. He told us already. We are not strong enough." her voice grew quiet, but somehow continued to echo through the corridors.
"We are weak. There are monsters out there- monsters who will kill us. Living here will make us strong.. and then they will show us these monsters who would do us harm... and we will be strong enough to beat them." she said, thinking back to the time the Voice had spoken to them, his voice ringing off of every wall, so they could never know exactly where he was. -
