My zombie plan:
Our first move during the zombie outbreak would be to round up our close family and friends. We will need a group that is large enough to be safe, but not too large to control and maintain. Once we get all the people we need, our next goal will be to take as many weapons as we have with us and head to Lowes. Hopefully the infected will either be far enough away to not care or will be too busy killing people in the Wal-Mart next door.
Once we are inside Lowes we will secure the inside and make sure there arent any dead inside. Then well start taking the forklifts and parking them up against the doors. Once we have a quick defense. After that we will have all the bricks and mortar to turn the entrances into additions to the walls.
After we are successfully secured inside Lowes we divide into two working groups. Group one starts building a stairway. We build until we reach the ceiling. Once we reach the ceiling we use the tools inside Lowes to cut a hole in the roof. Group two will start building a shark cage. This will take a while longer because we will need it to stand a large group of zombies.
After the Stairway is built, we begin building a bridge over to Wal-Mart. Once on the roof we use the sky lights to our advantage. The two groups will go to opposite ends of the building. The group that built the cage will lower one of their members down into Wal-Mart. That member will be armed with a pistol and anything loud. That person will make as much noise as possible and attract any dead inside. The rest of their group will be standing on the sky light and be ready to pull them out if it gets too hectic. That entire team will be picking off whatever dead head towards the cage.
The other group that went to the other side of the store will wait for a minute for the dead to head over to the trap, and then they will drop down on their side and secure all the doors. Once they have the doors secured they will head back up to the ceiling and join the first group to assist in killing the dead from there.
Once we have taken Wal-Mart we will have food, water, and supplies. We will transport supplies over to Wal-Mart using our bridge and secure all of its entrances. We will convert the cage into a contamination chamber. Any time anyone makes a trip where they come close to the undead they must spend 36 hours inside the cage.
At this point we have every supply we could possibly want. We have food, water, entertainment, and security. At this point the only thing we have to worry about is keeping sane. We could have weekly competitions. We could have one week where we see who can get the most interesting kill. Who can find a use for the useless things we have. Talent shows. We could keep entertained for a long time off of just being competitive.
Of course we will have to worry about long term survival. We could use the gardening supplies in Lowes and Wal-Mart to create a garden. We would also have the canned foods. We can use the paints inside Lowes to make an S.O.S on top of Wal-Mart. Also, power would not be a problem. We would have gas generators, and bicycle powered energy.
And if we ever needed more fuel, we could use the digging equipment from Lowes to excavate out to the gas station in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Once there we can have some people watch the station from the tops of the two stores and snipe any undead who are close. Then we can have the people who are digging pop up, siphon gas, and drop back down into the hole. Those people will have to spend time in decontamination but the operation is relatively safe.
At this point our only enemy is sanity. -
