I looked into her eyes. I wanted to ask what memories, but that would be too nosy.

I pulled away from his gaze, and his hands. Continuing walking up the stairs.

I was hurt when she pulled away. "You know what? I'm gonna look downstairs. You search the upper most level."

"Ok" i whispered, i knew he was hurt. I felt like running back to him and apologizing, but i didn't. Instead, i lumbered up the stairs, sulking to myself.

I went down the stairs. I looked around and I found a locked closet. "Bingo." I whisper to myself.

I looked up, searching for a stairway thingy on the roof to get to the attic. I kept walking a bit my eyes glued to the roof when i saw it, then i realized something. I was a little too short toi reach the string...

I walked back a few steps, then rammed the door with my shoulder. It fell right of the hinges and slammed against the back wall.

I jumped, getting the string with my finger. The stairs came down, nearly squashing me. They were dusty unlike the rest of the house. And creaky to, as soon as i put a little bit of weight on it, it creaked.
