Houstan ducked behind the counter, taking down the clerk with her. She cocked her gun and fired a couple bullets herself, not that they'd do any damage with the table in the way.
-
Jenny looked at the door. Wide open. She dove for it and hit the dirt outside. She stuffed her gun in its holster and ran for her horse, climbed on, and didn't look back as she galloped away. "Damn," she muttered. "I would have liked that corn bread..."
-
Houstan scowled and ran out, watching run away like the coward she was. She knew there was no way to catch her, which made her even more cranky then usual.
-
Jenny rode farther, to a small dugout about a mile from the town. She dismounted and tied her horse, walking inside.
(gtg. Sorry) -
She made her way back to her office, and sorted through the stack of wanted papers. There, right smack dab in the middle, was Jenny Jackson. "Number one on my wanted list, welcome Jackson."
See ya -
Back :)
Jenny sat down inside and put her feet up on the table. She grabbed a train map and studied it. "Okay, the next train nearby will be coming tomorrow around noon." She folded up the map. "Perfect." -
(you on?)
-
Yup :D
She figured Miss Jackson would be wanting to make a quick escape, so she took out the train schedule for the next few days. "I guess I'll be heading for the train station at noon, wonderful." -
(sneaky... :D)
Jenny untacked her horse and made a bit of softkey (beans) for the night. -
"Alright mister, you're free to go now. Figure You've slept off most of your liquor." Houstan said, letting out the drunkard. He left, and she sat behind her desk once more.
-
Jenny sat there, eating her dinner. "Since I'll be taking Bo (her horse) I'll need a car toward the back, and a way to load him." She thought about the train station, the one she hadn't used since she was really young... She shook her head. "No going soft now, Jenny." she told herself. They'd be big enough planks of wood for her to load Bo with. She put down her dinner and packed up her few belongings: maps, cooking utensils, etc. She made sure her Winshester was loaded before putting it in its holster neat her Colt pistol.
-
She decided to get up at about five the next morning, so she could make sure she had everything before she left. She climbed into her cot and fell asleep.
