xXWeeWiiXx NewbieAha! It does say about Yoshi's gender in the Yoshi's Island DS instruction book! On Page 20 it says If Yoshi finds a Super Star when Baby Mario is on his back... and also on the back of the box it says Now he takes on new abilities depending on which baby he's carrying! see it says HIS, HE and HE'S. Yoshis a dude!

Yoshi is a male character, as is Birdo. Yes, that's right, Birdo is a male. In the first video game booklet that she appeared in, "Super Mario Bros. 2", or was it 3?....Anyway, it says Birdo is gender-confused, so he dresses up as a girl.
...alright nevermind -_- but the birdo part is so freaking gay O.o -
