I sat down in a meadow, the wind just perfectly blowing on my face. Daisies surrounded me, and I plucked one, admiring its beautiful pearled petal. I suddenly saw a figure slowly descending from the forest, and I laid down on the ground, hoping it wouldn't see me.

I stalked a small deer I found. I quietly tip-toed up behind it, sending my blade into it's heart. Gotta do what you gotta do. I thought as I checked it for diseases. It seemed healthy. Or was. It would make a good meal. Food was scarce nowadays.

Soon the figure went away, and I sighed in relief. I silenty thanked God, and go up and ran into the forest, trying to find shelter.

I dragged the deer back to my camp. All the other survivors had been turned. I was the only one left. I cu the deer open and cooked the parts I was able to eat, I would use the skin as I blanket or something. Deer fur wasn't the warmest, but it was better then nothing.

I smelt some food... Deer.. I thought, running towards the auroma. I soon found a camp, and suddenly saw a man cooking. Is he a survivor? I thought curiously. I looked around the camp, and silently tip-toed closer to him.

I felt like I was being watch. I silently grabbed my gun and held it in my hand. If it was a turned one, they'll be getting a bullet to the head in half a second.

I soon stepped out of the shadows, my heart racing. He had a gun in hand, and my body quaked with fear.

I turned and saw a girl, she looked about my age. She was afraid. I realized. Not a turned one, that's for sure. "Who are you?" I questioned her, not letting go of my gun. She could still be bit...

"I-I'm Ella..." I shook with fear, my eyes tearing up. "I've been hiding."

I slowly put my gun down. "Jake." I said. "How have you been surviving the out-break? You don't have any weapons with you."
