You can live without it. You just don't want to. There's a distinct difference between what we don't want to live without and what we can't live without. As long as you've got food, water, and shelter, you can live a decent life. There are so many people out there who will never be able to have even half of what you have. Sure, you might like your cell phone, but it's not part of you. It's not a living thing or a necessity or an organ. It's technology. You can easily live without it.
