Just don't even touch the mouse. No matter what happens. If it shows pop-ups, if the mouse changes, if the screen blacks out, anything of the sort: DON'T TOUCH THE MOUSE.

What bugged me the most was in one leval it went 2 steps then it would stop then it wouldskip two more steps then spop DX
