It was a cold fall day. The wind hit my face as I walked out of the administration office of Pinevale High. I had always been the new kid. Starting at a different school every year wasn't really a new thing for me. But this time I had to stay here until I got a feel for how to live on my own. I walked across the quad and sat down on a bench to review my schedule.

I was walking to school and saw the new girl."Should I help her find her classes or not?" I thought about it and sat down next to her."Do you need help?"

I looked up to find a guy sitting next to me. I looked away quickly and said,"Yeah, the only classroom I haven't seen is the music class, where would it be?" I paused for a second noticing how much paler I was than everyone else. "By the way, I'm Lily."
