I sat in a tree next to a road. It was raining hard. The bright headlights of a car appeared. Chances were the car would slide from the road. It did. Demon's luck.

O leaped down from the tree and walked across the road toward the car. I grew one, long, sharp claw on my index finger and slashed the window apart. I climbed inside the car, sat on the driver's lap, and slit the side of his throat lightly.

I was about to drink; I wasn't a vampire but I still enjoyed the taste of blood, when a girl yelled at me. How could I not have seen her in the tree. The rest of my fingernails grew into talons. I climbed out of the truck and onto the roof, the talons putting holes in the truck wherever I held on. I grew my winds and took off into the pouring rain, hoping she wouldn't follow.
