"Very. I don't think I'll be sleeping all too well tonight." he chuckled.

"That's right, you were staying there." Kate said, then was struck with an idea. "Perhaps you could stay with me tonight? I've never seen much of the house, but there's bound to be a guest bedroom somewhere. Creator has company for the weekends all the time."

"Sure, sounds great."

She smiled, and led the way back to her home.

He smiled and followed.

She opened the door, and called out. Silence followed. "Strange, it's like he's not here."

"Huh, maybe he fell asleep or something."

"Maybe. I'll go check the library." she said, walking down the hallway to the right.

"Kay." he nodded and waited patiently by the door.

She was a few door from the library when she heard voices. She stopped, and pressed her ear against the door from which the sound came from. "You let her outside? Are you mad?" "She deserved it." "For all you know she could've been stolen - or worse." "Such as what? Sold off to you?"

He hummed quietly>

"This is no time for jokes. You promised me her two years ago." "And now I've decided I changed my mind. You don't need her, you've got plenty of other things to make youu rich." "You know perfectly well I will get what I want, one way or another." "I dare you to try." There was a pause, and several loud banging noises.

He peered in, curious of all the banging no longer humming.

Kate was looking at the crack at the bottom of the door. The pearl white carpet was turning a blood red. For that's what it was, blood.
