My mom was trying to cut of my dogs nails and she cutter one off and now it's bleeding soo her bf said that the vet suppose to file it an not cut it off with this big clipper thing she used to cut it off.My dog is actually acting calm and he usually doesnt

Poor dog he's licking where his nail was cut off an he lickin it slowly.:(

When dogs break their nails (or they get cut) to the point of bleeding, they lick them. You should let the vet clip them.

It's definitly worth 12 dollars to have a vet clip them.

They have special clippers for it.

I kno I warned my mom that she needs a professional to cut the nails but she cut one anyways.

And unless you have alot of practice in cutting them, then yeah, let a vet cut them. Poor dog. :( -
The nail looks weird cuz half of it is cut off and the other half is still there.
