It was cold, and scary. My mother died, while we were driving in that snowy December. She crashed into another car. A mistake, but a big one. When i could get my breath back, i turned to see my mother laying face-down on the wheel. I inched closer and put my shaky hands on her shoulders. I whispered her name, then again, then again. No reply. No answer. No hint of life. I lifted her head, carefully and slowly. I saw her bloody face all twisted and smashed. Her eyes wide with horror, but dead as cold stone. She was dead.
I had no one else to cling to. My father left us. So i was an orphan, a nightmare that just begun. -
