YAY!
DEAD.
He sat next to me, driving quietly through the rain. We'd taken his car, which smelled of old cologne and pine trees. Yuck. I didn't care, though, because he looked over at me.
"I love you..." he mumbled softly, sweeping a stray hair from my face. Maybe I'd take him seriously if he weren't so drunk. Yes, he's driving and extremely drunk. Doesn't your boyfriend drive drunk? No? Well, just deal with the fact that mine does. He winked at me, a ridiculous smile on his face.
"I love you... don't you love me?" He grinned even more. Man, I was so distracted by him... distracted...
"LOOK OUT!" I shouted, my attention on the road in front of us. The car swerved and ran into a tree. The seconds before the collision felt more like days. Many thoughts passed through my mind: ideas, memories, imaginative visions from when I was little. We're alone... I thought, and we crashed. The glass windows shattered, and I saw my boyfriend sitting limp in the driver's seat. I already knew he was dead. Alone, terribly alone... My last thoughts. Then I was gone, terribly gone. I was dead. -
