she looked away, "they called you" she said. He reluctanly turned away and walked up to the stage. She took out her iPod and turned on the volume to the max. The song- I'll Wait- by Van Halen . She closed her eyes and put her head back against the pew of the church.

Ben watched Matthew trudge up to the front. He wasnt happy that Matthew was going to get his wings, but was wallowing in the weakness of him. Ben hadnt got his wings yet, but he knew it wasnt long before he got them. He sat there with a tiny grin on his face and awaited his turn.

Matthew was kind of a sissy. Sure he screamed like alot of the girls did. He was trying to come off as a sensitive guy. Skyker saw right through his mask. He was insecure and just tried to have someone who wanted to be with him. The most appropriate audience, giggly school girls. He liked her, alot. She wasn't sure if she wanted a boyfriend. With her academics, sports, and if he ever wanted to meet her parents he couldn't. There was no one there, her parents were dead. Skyler just happend to be invincible to the law, she had no record, no social security number, no birth certificate, she wasn't even a reall person to the government. And she didn't know it at the time but Matthew and possibly Ben were the same way.

Ben grinned a little when he screamed. He didnt grin in a mean way, just a more "you deserve it" grin. Matthew came slopping down the isle after, then sat where he was. With the moment gone, ben lost the humor.

His faced dropped, but he knew it had to be done. He stood up and walked shyly to the stage. He felt his heart in his throat, but put a brave face on. -
Matthew sat back down. Scared, shocked, and kind of excited. How did Skyler know. It seems like she felt the same way, and she seemed to hear his thoughts, se didn't mean to flatter herself but they were almost all about her. She shifted her head so that her hood fell off and her long black hair fell over the back of the pew. It seemed like as soon as she calmed down he did too.

He began to feel queezy and sick, yet he remained strong. For a split second, he was going to preform a mirage, but re thought that, because he knew he would get kicked out of the church. His shaking was visible, but he suffered in silence. He got his wings. His eyes widened as they turned a bright amber. Still shaking, he dragged himself down the isle and sat back down in his chair. While turning to sit, he saw Matthew looking at Skylar, but thought nothing of it. He inspected his new adaption.

Matthew stroked Skylers hair. She opened her eyes grabbed his wrist and twisted it backwards in a literal half second. Once she realized what she did she let go. "sorry" she said, but in. A strong voice, "it's okay" Matthew said. His wings went as black as Skylers and a little thinner. Just a few inches longer. He unfolded his right wing and put it around Skylers body, as If useing it as an arm.

Ben sensed distress in the air. As he mastered the technique as using cosmic fields for help and defense, air and gases make up atmosphere, which is in the cosmic range. He turned straight round, but all he saw was matthew trying to hold skylar with his wing. Even though feeling like years, everyone recieved thier wings. Some in tears, some in excitement, the ceremoney was over. People made thier way to the exit, sharing murmers about thier new wings.

Skyler ran out of The crowd and to the school building across the street. She ran to the middle school side and climbed the ladder that the roof workers climb to work on the roof, she used the cots that they set up to sleep, when they showed up she was already in school, she got up at 5:00am every day and ran around the school. She heard a noise and looked over to the elementary side of the building and Matthew climbed up the side of the building. She red his mind. Now she knew his secret. And he had no idea that she was there, her pure black wings providing camoflague against the night.

Ben made his way out of the church. He saw that same girl run up to the school roof. He saw matthew follow her. Again, ben didnt care, as he felt a calm atmosphere around him. His white wings folded perfectly behind him, as he made his way home.
