He glanced over at Nikki, as if to say, Is he okay?

Nikki shrugged.

He ate a bit of food.

He ate and wondered what was wrong with his brother.

He was about to compliment Arata on his cooking, but decided to keep his mouth shut. It seemed anything he could say might possibly make it worse.

Arata ran his fingers through Nikki's hair. "Sukidaiyo." He kissed his forehead.
"I love you too, nīsan." -
Hehe, no. He's just trying to keep him safe.
"Eat, nīsan..."
"I will." -
:P good brother.
Devin got up. "If you want, I could fix you a plate." -
"I got it." he went into the kitchen.

"Okay." He sat back down.

He got a plate and sat beside Nikki.

Devin's phone rang in his pocket. "Excuse me for one second." He smiled at Nikki and Arata; walking out into the hall. "Hello?...Yeah, Mom. I'm at Nikki's. Kay... What?..."
