Yes, I ahz been inspired. Sort of. I've had this idea rattling around in my head for awhile.
(Although I'm a christian, neither God nor Satan is in this story. Only demons, angels, and ghosts. Although I don't really believe in ghosts, but whatever)
So let's say that there's a demon. This demon has been around, like, since the beginning of time. Or at least, a very long time. he knows when he's going to die - he's going to die sometime in the 25th century. Although the 25th century seems so distant and in the future for us...well, heck, he's been around forever, so to him, it seems very close.
Obviously, he's not too crazy about that.
This is a demon - he's a spirit, he has no material form. When I say "die", I mean he's going to go on to the afterlife and lose the ability to possess other life forms and go to Earth.
So he simply goes and finds a boy (Not sure of the age yet, somewhere between 13 and 16) and captures him. We'll call the boy A, because I don't have a name yet. The demon take A to Esvandli - the world between Earth and the afterlife, also known as the spirit world, where angels and demons can be found easily. There, the demon destroys most (About 80%, I'd say) of A's personality, soul, and heart, and replacing it with a "black spirit", turning him into a cruel, bloodthirsty, dark, un-compassionate demon somewhat like himself. Before the demon dies, he plans to pass all of his skill to A and basically train him to be a demon, sort of. he doesn't really have to train him much, because A's strength, skill, and eyesight have already been greatly improved by the transformation-into-a-demon thing.
Unfortunately (DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUN! believe it or not, there are a few downsides to becoming a demon and having 80% of your soul destroyed and blahblahblah...), like most younger demons, A still has to eat in order to gain energy.
And what do demons eat? Humans, of course! 8D
So A often runs around earth, murdering 1 or 2 people every night and eating them. How nice. 8)
So you've met one main character. A, the demon apprentice. but then there's Xue Fang, better known as Xue, the angel apprentice who was actually born an angel and will always be an angel, unlike A, who was born a human. Xue's mentor is assigned the task of finding A and killing him, in order to stop all the murders on earth. But somehow or another (Not sure yet), Xue Fang discovers that A is not really evil - his true soul and heart are overpowered and masked by the black spirit. So she sets out - behind her mentor's back - to somehow change A back into the innocent human child he once was.

And Xue Fang's mentor should probably be named as well.
And the demon's apprentice also needs a more common name for before he became a demon (His name was changed after the older demon captured him and destroyed most of his heart and soul) -
Annnd Xue Fang's mentor needs to be a female. I was going to make it a male, but if I do that, Xue will be the only female character in the story. xP
