Pyralis set down the box and peeked into it. There were tons of explosives. Her mentor grinned.
"You're going to blow up 5 buildings. Personally, I thought that wasn't enough, but they insisted," he said.
Pyralis closed the box. "But, can't I set fire to and explode things on my own?"
Her mentor laughed. "No. You're still in training. Now go and blow stuff up."
Pyralis unfurled her wings, stepped out of the cave, and soared off to the city with the box of explosives. -
Dune lay there for a good hour before doing anything. An expert at escaping in to herself, she did that now, letting the salty water trickle in to a small puddle to her side. Memories, the ones you try to forget, swarmed her dreams, suffocating her last night. This morning was only the recovery. "Mya, Rhunen, Sofi." she whimpered the names of lost family members. Finally, collecting her wits, she wiped the tears from her eyes and stood. Then, peering carefully down the side of the skyscraper, she shivered...and jumped.

"Food, food, food........." Anya said to herself, "What am I in the mood for today...."

As it was 5 am in the morning, most humans were either asleep, or too busy driving to their jobs ('many of them scientisists' she added) to notice a small half-elven girl leap across buildings. And, if they noticed, they did nothing.
Which suited Dune perfectly. An ignorant human was still better than a flawed knowledgable one, and if they didn't know, they couldn't call the ones that did know. If that did happen however...Dune shuddered. -
Pyralis landed on top of a building and rummaged through the box. She realized there was a wrinkled note taped to the inside of the box. She ripped it off and read it. It was a messy scrawl of capital letters. They told her which buildings to blow up. She went down the list.

STORE
JAIL
MYTHICAL CREATURE CAPTURE BUILDING
She looked down at the last one. I'll do that one first. -

On her way to the grocery store, she felt two abnormal presences. Well, if they're not human then they're either trying to get away or cause trouble, either way it's none of my business.

She shuddered because, if that did happen, well, they'd come and take her away, do experiments and- she wasn't sure if she could be killed or not, but she did hope so. It would prevent them from going all out on her and at least she'd have a chance at a peaceful mind. If she was truly immortal, she gasped, unable to handle the thought.

Suddenly, sensing an inhuman mind, two of them!- Dune stopped in her tracks and pushed her mental barrier as far away from her as she could. 'Hello?' she asked to the other minds. 'Hello?' She sat back, waiting for a reply. What she was doing was risky, yes, but after years of being alone, she felt like she had to try. A smile broke out at the thought of mental contact with a being like her.

And then there was a voice speaking to her through mental contact. "Hello?" it said, "Hello." Anya replied.

Pyralis thought she could hear someone. She then realized it was mental contact. "Hello!" she replied, forgetting her mission.

Dune sighed with pleasure. Someone was there! 'You're not human!' she cried mentally '

"Well of course I'm not human! What a silly thought." Anya said, mentally of course, looking through the different fruits and crisp veggies.

'Uh, yeah, I'm not human...' Pyralis thought. 'WAIT! Who are you?'
