Kindle thinks he's stupid because he's not a computer. >8O HOW RACIST!
Anyway, meet Sekou, meh typewriter. ^^
Basically, he has an overly-romantic, poetic, emo-ish, goth-ish, dark-ish, depressed personality.
And he cries every time Dewey says he hates him. xDD
Because Sekou loves Dewey.
Dewey hates Sekou. xD
Poor wittle depressed Sekou. -
Awww D: I wanna give Sekou a hug
-
Aww.... poor Sekou. I wanna meet him.....
Try to get him an account, or will he be too old to understand it? -
LOL.
Typewriters, unlike computers, are immortal. He's only about 18 in typewriter years, believe it or not. ^^
Computer years aren't that long. Dewey was born in November, and he's already about 17 and a half (although he acts too mature, in my opinion) in computer years. -
Still, typewriters are awesome.
How much ink does Sekou have left? -
Wow
-
Ummm...I actually figured out how to make it a bit darker, but it's not black. It's kinda medium-gray right now. Before I figured out how to make it darker, it was uber light gray, and some spots of it would be darker.
-
Is there a way to give him more ink?
-
Is he very big? Sorry about the questions, I'm trying to compare him to my typewriter (you've caused me to try to think of a name for it....)
-
He's 11 inches by 11 and 3/4 inches. He's a Remington typewriter, although I dunno if the Remington company still exists. And have you ever used a typewriter before, Hat? I don't know if I can give him more ink, because ya see, there's this ribbon with ink on it that's being held by these two roll-ish things. When you hit the key, this metal thing with the shape of whatever letter you hit comes down and hits the ribbon really hard, pushing it onto the paper, which stamps the letter onto the paper with ink from the ribbon.
And the paper is on this rubber/metal roll thing, which is what makes the loud tap (more of a bang sometimes) that's loud enough to hear from across my house. xD -
Well, no, thought I told you that on another thread
Eh, I gots a crappy memory so maybe I didn't -
You can replace the ribbon.
-
You said you didn't have a typewriter, but you could've used one that wasn't yours, so I didn't know. xD
Sekou's keys are alot harder to press down than Dewey's, but that might just be because he's old, and most likely waaaay too dusty on the inside.
Speaking of dust, Selena, do you know if there's a way to clean typewriters on the inside or something? Because Sekou would most likely work better if he was cleaner. -
Ooooh yeeeeaaah, I think I remember my mom now saying something about how I might have to eventually get a new ribbon.
Although I've had Sekou for a long time, I don't know much about typewriters, as you can see. xD -
I think so.... let me look it up. (lol... I'm using a computer to look up stuff about a typewriter...)
If I can't find it, I'll ask my grandparents, who I'm seeing this weekend. They're who I got the typewriter from.
