We hiked a little while longer, hoping it would be a calm night. No suck luck. I heard frequent mews from the bushes, as if a kit was about to die of hunger. Brambleclaw and I raced over to a small path, on which a cat lay. She was a small, white kitty with several ribs showing. -
Fluffball though she heard other cats approaching, but she didn't think they were acualy there. She couldn't believe that she would be rescued. It was too good to be true.
