Feel free to move this to the debate corner but it's not political so that's why I'm doing it here.
So, some of us may be Creepypasta fans or have been at some point. Some of us may know by now that Ticci Toby is, indeed, not a technical creepypasta anymore from the Creator's wishes.
I'm gonna say that I believe that decision is a bit of a waste.
Here's why I think this:
1) He's an icon now.
Removal of a smaller-named Creepypasta would be one thing, but he has been an icon for literally years. It's near impossible, if not entirely impossible, to remove his story and character now.
2) The Internet as a whole
With the whole 'Waffle joke thing is dumb' argument... Yeah. That's the point. You put something on the internet, expect people to do things for fun sometimes.
3) The actual content
Because the Slenderman is directly creepypasta-related, and the fact that the Ticci Toby story is directly involved, it won't work.
4) It's been 11 years.
It's been 11 YEARS. It was posted in 2013. If a creator removed something after, say, 5 years, that's different. 11 years, though? It's going to be a lot of work and a lot of time before it gets removed.
5) The story is still on Creepypasta.com
I checked this last night, it's still up. The Villains wiki still claims it from Creepypasta (while he is no longer up on the Creepypasta wiki). If people can read it from Creepypasta, it's still Creepypasta, I'm sorry if you think otherwise.
I know many people will tell me to respect the creators wishes, and I am. From what I understand, the *old* Ticci Toby is Creepypasta, any new or revamped versions are not. At the same time, Wade/Nancy was working on a revamp and scrapped the project.
I'm sorry to Wade/Nancy that you feel your creation has been taken from you and that others have done too much with it, but removal isn't possible and Ticci Toby will kinda be around as long as Creepypasta is. -

Another note, just because a creator no longer likes a platform doesn't mean you need to remove everything. Just... Revamp the old into something new. If you can't or won't put in effort to do that, then don't try to remove work at all.
This, for example, would be like taking Bonnie out of FNaF 1. Sure, something could replace it, or whatever, but it still wouldn't be the same, ESPECIALLY for people who have been around since the start. It's still a main character, and removal of main characters is more work than just revamping characters on new sites and claiming they are seperate. -
Yes, I realize my opinion matters none, since I am not the creator. But, I am making my claim as a long-time viewer that the old/original Ticci Toby is a Slenderman proxy and a Creepypasta canon to the original story, and I will be sticking with that.
If the creator says "Don't post fanart", fine. "Don't tag him as a creepypasta," fine. Just don't expect everyone to know this. Just a few years from now and it'll start back up again, welcome to the internet. -

The OG is fine, tho! Fanart is okay if it's non-profit. So, no need to be angry ^w^
