xD that's kinda funny-
and ig so? or you'd just be able to make as much honey as you'd like lmao -
i mean not endless and you'd have to make it- no they keep their supply of nectar in their honey stomach which is seperate from their food stomach. in a way it is kind of like barfing, but barfing is when youre throwing up the contents of your stomach, not an extra compartment
-
facts
-
ok so basically (this is mainly honeybees) have an extra stomach/sack where they store the nectar they get from flowers, then when they get back to their hive they pass it on bee mouth to bee mouth until the moisture content is reduced from around 70% to 20%. sometimes its stored in cells instead of the mouth-to-mouth thing because the temperature in hives is around 32.5 degrees C, so it can sometimes evaporate turn into honey on its own
then they ingest it and it breaks down in their honey stomachs until it has the correct sugar composition, then they store it to eat or feed it to larvae later
ik im ranting let me hyperfixate xD -
no, pop off u^u
we love the hyperfixations >:)
i'm currently hyperfixated over a show i really like, i'm like- actually obsessed lmao
(the show is the dragon prince on netflix, if you were wondering lol) -
Yes more ranting about honeybees omgggg
-
i like bees theyre so slay
and then if they're in man-made hives we can snatch a portion of the honey and sell it (but we can't take all the honey because thats like half of their food source gone)
(omg slay my sister's been begging me to watch that with her xD)
yassss they're so amazinggg -
dude bees hate me so much-
yeah the man made hives are so cool my neighbors have a ton of them for some reason -
help why-
no fair i want one- -
idk they just do- last year I got stung like 5 times
Just buy one and explain to your parents after (/jjjj don't be stupid lmao -
thats crazy- damn bro ive only ever gotten bitten
good idea (awww) -
how do you get bitten-
totally (sorry but that's a recipe for disaster lmao) -
I stepped on her and she bit me then died ;-; I think they just bite when they don’t want to die from their stinging someone. It swells up and is itchy like a mozzie bite but it’s bigger and also hurts, but it’ll go away in like two days if you’re lucky
-
I've never heard of a bee biting someone lmfaooo
-
I don’t think they do it often lmao but it hurtssss
