The word "nothing" is often used as a pronoun. For example, 'I said nothing'.
It can also be used as an adjective; 'he had a series of nothing jobs'.
BUT it can ALSO be an adverb; 'a girl who cared nothing for him'.
According to the dictionary, a pronoun is a noun. By definition, it is 'a word that can function as a noun phrase used by itself and that refers either to the participants in the discourse (e.g. I, you ) or to someone or something mentioned elsewhere in the discourse (e.g. she, it, this ).'
Does this make nothing a noun? I'd love to hear you guys' thoughts. -
Maybe, also if somethings 'nothing' it has to be something cause why else would we have a word for it if it wasn't something
