my parents are discussing global warming. convo:
Mom: Agh, it's so our fault.
Dad: Partially our fault.
Mom: But now we've got the Chinese building all these factories and they won't care.
Dad: And we've industrialized India.
Mom: We're hopelessly addicted to oil.
Dad: Tell me about it. I bet if we quit, the whole world would suffer from withdrawal.
Mom: That would be interesting.
Dad: Yeah. And then on December 23, 2012 there will be not one drop of oil left because people will start mining it for themselves. That's the end of the world right there. No more oil = no more lives. We're really sad beings to be honest.
Mom: Yeah.
Me: THEN THE WORLD WILL BLOW UP!
Dad: That's a great plan. Let's start mapping out the explosives and buy a spaceship. Then we can watch as all the tiny ant-sized humans on Earth burn to their doom.
Me: Whoa... xD -

Oh. Sometimes I wonder if I'd be happy writing for the newspaper. Is it that I just want to write, no matter what? I doubt it.....

i dunno. depends on like what you're writing. i work for my school newspaper. it's actually pretty fun. :)

So do I. But I have to do student interviews, not my favorite part... I wish I could do something else....

yeah, maybe you could start a creative writing club or something. i think i'm gonna do that. :)

I can't. Nobody likes my writing. I write so much better than they do, but they hate it. They'll see, though. One day... one day they'll be at the library with their kids and one of their kids will pick up a book I wrote. I'll be making people happy with the books I'll write while they'll have jobs they hate....
Do I sound like one of those creepy people who swears revenge on their childhood peers who they hated? -
no, that's exactly my life as well. nobody can appreciate my writing anymore. it's annoying and discouraging.

All they do is say whatever or tell me I'm a creep. There was this one guy who they all hated (he didn't come back this year), I miss him now. I've replaced him in my class....

well, just know that their hatred is absurd. you are way better than them, and don't let them bring you down. i'm sure your writing is amazing. do you post it in lit? i'd love to read some of it! :)
